Frequent Questions
Membership questions:
Is membership of GossamerWight Literary Magazine free?
Yes. At this time, membership is entirely free. We may introduce monthly or annual membership plans at some point, offering additional benefits. These would require a paid subscription. However, the free membership plan will always be available.
Some posts can only be accessed in full by members, i.e., those who have decided to sign up to the site. A non-member would see a closed padlock symbol above a post, which denotes member-only content. The first part only of such a post would be accessible to those site visitors who have not signed up.
A message states 'You currently have a free membership, upgrade to a paid subscription for full access.' Meaning?
The message part that states 'upgrade to a paid subscription for full access' is a system anomaly, which we are endeavouring to correct. It does not apply to free membership accounts at this time; you have full access to all site content.
Future paid membership plans (if implemented) will restrict access to some content for those on a free membership plan. Here, you would need to upgrade if you wished to access that additional content.
Anthology questions:
How is the anthology different from the GossamerWight Literary Magazine?
The anthology is not a ‘separate entity’ to the GossamerWight Literary Magazine. Rather, it is integral to our operations and identity. They are twins and share a bond. However, the anthology allows us to gather the theme-specific stories and poetry submissions of talented writers and publish them under one cover, with a quarterly issue being favoured by us, contributions permitting.
Do I have to pay for the anthology?
No, we will make each issue of the (quarterly) anthology available as a free download from our website as a professional print-ready PDF and generic ePub.
That said, and conditions permitting, we do plan to take the best of the best stories and poetry from our (quarterly) anthologies and combine them in physical print as an annual anthology. You may then purchase the annual anthology from our website and most online and physical bookstores.
