A New Home for GossamerWight—What It Means for You

In late August we posted a behind‑the‑scenes look at the birth of GossamerWight Literary Magazine (read the full “Metamorphosis” article here).

The second part of that post, "Why the changes?", explained how joining our community turns every contributor into a vital part of an ongoing literary conversation.

Why being a member matters?

  • Fresh voices and bold writing. Discover fiction, essays and poetry from emerging talents and established authors.
  • A creative home. Belong to a community that celebrates curiosity, imagination and high‑quality writing.
  • Inspiration on demand. Encounter novel forms, ideas and perspectives that spark your own work.
  • Early-bird opportunities. Be the first to hear about calls for submissions, readings and other events.
  • An inclusive literary culture. Help amplify diverse, under-represented voices.

These benefits remain unchanged. What is changing is the platform that delivers them.

Why we're moving

Our current Ghost/KUSA Projects site has served us well, but it can’t provide the flexibility and long‑term stability we need. After careful evaluation, we’re migrating GossamerWight to Squarespace, a designer‑friendly website builder praised by TechRadar (2025) as “a hit among creative professionals.”

Because we already have hands‑on experience with Squarespace templates, we expect a smooth transition.

What this means for you

  • No action is required right now. Over the next few weeks, we’ll migrate the site while keeping the same URL: https://www.gossamerwight.com.
  • Login details: We'll transfer your membership email automatically. If the sign‑in flow changes, we’ll send explicit instructions (including any password reset steps).
  • Content shift: We’re tightening our focus on anthologies. A new blog will host selected legacy pieces plus fresh essays, interviews, reviews, submission calls, writing prompts, and tips. Expect a brief settling‑in period—thanks for your patience!
  • Submissions: You can still upload prose and/or poetry (up to three pieces per author) to the current Ghost site and then to our new site once launched until Sunday, Nov 30, our deadline for the upcoming anthology, Everyday Eerie.
  • Non‑members: If you’re not yet signed up, we invite you to join the mailing list below (we've hidden the sign‑up box from existing members). Membership is open regardless of whether you plan to submit.
